TEACHING POINTS:

This is a clear example of the difference in looks between the lead official and the outside
officials (lead/trail) during block charge plays at the rim in relation to seeing
lateral movement of
the defender. From the initial view of this play, the secondary defender (#25 dark jersey)
appears to have obtained a legal guarding position in the path of the offensive player
prior to the
start of the habitual shooting motion
and the offensive player leaving the floor, however after
watching the replay, we see the defender's lateral movement
after the habitual shooting motion
has started, therefore
a defensive blocking foul is correct on this play.
