Play Description:
Click the green play button below to view the clip. After reviewing this sequence where the
ball is knocked away in the offensive team's (white jersey's) front court and saved by the
offensive player (#13 white jersey), you make the call. Is this an example of a back court
violation or is this a legal play by the offensive team? What are the guidelines supported by
the rulebook for a back court violation to occur? During the second part of this play
following the turnover, the new offensive player (#24 dark jersey) takes the ball to the rim and
a defensive foul is called on the defender (#45 white jersey). Is this a correct defensive foul
and if so, is a two shot foul correct or should the ball be taken for a side out?
